Better Newpapers, Inc. is Hiring an Editor Near Tuscola, IL

Seeking a talented and ambitious editor for county-wide weekly newspaper based in Tuscola, Illinois. Duties include meeting coverage, feature stories, breaking news, photography, managing stringers (including sports), budget planning, social media, webcasting, etc. InDesign experience helpful. Must have reliable transportation.

Recent and soon-to-be grads encouraged to apply.

This position reports to the Regional Managing Editor. This job typically comes with a lot of autonomy and is a good opportunity to show leadership skills and to build a professional portfolio under the mentorship of a seasoned journalist.

Salary $34,000. Health benefits available. With more than 40 newspapers under our umbrella, there is room for advancement within the company.
